Responsibilities
- Circulate preoperatively in orthopedic cases, ensuring sterile technique and readiness of the OR environment
- Support the anesthesia team and surgical staff during preop activities and case preparation
- Verify patient identity, consent, and surgical site; assist with patient positioning and equipment readiness
- Manage instruments and supplies, and maintain accurate documentation and timekeeping per agency guidelines
- Facilitate smooth handoffs from preop to the intraoperative setting and uphold patient safety throughout the process
Requirements
- OR circulating experience in preoperative orthopedic cases
- Availability for day shift on a 13-week travel assignment
- Must reside at least 65 miles away from the assignment facility; local travelers will not be considered
- Strong communication and teamwork with the perioperative team
- Commitment to patient safety, sterile technique, and regulatory compliance
