Responsibilities
- Evaluate and re-evaluate assigned patients in outpatient or inpatient settings; plan and implement an ongoing therapeutic OT program as prescribed by the ordering physician.
- Regularly update treatment plans and home exercise programs; independently manage a full caseload and determine appropriate re-evaluations within insurance authorization.
- Provide OT services to adults in outpatient and acute rehab contexts; maintain documentation and progress notes in the EMR systems Net Health Therapy and Meditech.
- Maintain current licensure and contribute to ongoing clinical coverage, including availability to work state and federal holidays as operations require.
- Collaborate with the care team to coordinate care across rehab and acute rehab services; adjust plans as needed based on patient progress and insurance authorization.
- Complete onboarding requirements, including arrival the Thursday before start date to complete employee health activities.
Requirements
- Active Hawaii license in good standing (OT licensure); Hawaii license must be current by start date.
- BLS certification from American Red Cross (or equivalent acceptable credential).
- Minimum 2 years of OT experience with adults in outpatient and acute rehab settings.
- Proficiency with EMR systems Net Health Therapy and Meditech.
- Ability to work the listed schedule (Mon-Fri, 7:30 am–4:00 pm) and to participate in holiday coverage as needed.
- Must arrive the Thursday prior to start date for onboarding and employee health clearance.
