Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to residents in a long-term care setting according to established care plans and nursing protocols.
- Administer prescribed medications and perform routine treatments as ordered, ensuring accuracy and safety.
- Monitor resident status, record vital signs, observe changes, and promptly communicate deviations to the supervising clinician.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to implement and update resident care plans.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and ensure infection control, safety, and quality standards are followed.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and support restorative and social needs as appropriate.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in North Carolina or eligibility to obtain licensure in NC.
- Graduate of an approved LPN program.
- LTC or skilled nursing facility experience preferred.
- Ability to work the specified evenings schedule (15:00–23:30) and participate in an every-other-weekend rotation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; comfortable documenting care and interacting with residents and families.
