Travel Registered Nurse ICU Job
Registered Nurse – ICU travel assignment available in Amsterdam, NY. Start date 06/01/2026 for 13 weeks, with a weekly pay range of $1,966 to $1,979. This 3x12-hour night shift (7:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.) position is in a short-term, acute care setting. Active NYS RN license is required, along with BLS, ACLS, and PALS. A minimum of 2 years ICU experience is required, and travel experience (minimum 1 year with renewals) is preferred. May float to Medical-Surgical as needed. Local travelers within 50 miles are accepted with a bill-rate adjustment. This is a travel - temporary assignment through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide ICU-level nursing care to critically ill patients, including monitoring hemodynamics, ventilator support, infusion therapies, and vasoactive medications.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, document changes, and respond quickly to deteriorations or emergencies.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the care team to develop and adjust care plans.
- Manage equipment such as ventilators, monitors, and infusion devices; address alarms and troubleshoot as needed.
- Ensure accurate administration of medications and adherence to protocols; perform safe patient transfers and thorough shift handoffs.
- May float to Medical-Surgical units as needed; maintain continuity of care and clear communication during transitions.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications
- Minimum 2 years ICU experience
- Travel experience required; minimum 1 year, renewals preferred
- Ability to work 3x12-hour night shifts
- Willingness to float to Medical-Surgical units as needed
