Registered Nurse, Labor and Delivery (L&D) in Holdrege, Nebraska, United States. Start date: 05/05/2026. 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekly pay range: $2,793–$2,859. Responsibilities
- Provide direct obstetric nursing care for laboring patients and obstetric post-partum/postpartum recovery, monitoring maternal and fetal status and responding to changes.
- Administer medications using the Five Rights of Medication Administration; monitor for adverse effects and document responses.
- Utilize the nursing process to develop, implement, and evaluate a formal plan of care tailored to obstetric patients.
- Educate patients and families on labor, delivery, postpartum care, breastfeeding, newborn care, and discharge planning, adapting to age and learning needs.
- Maintain a safe, comfortable environment, uphold infection control practices, protect patient confidentiality, and collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team.
- Organize and prioritize daily tasks, coordinate with ancillary staff, and participate in performance improvement activities as needed.
- Demonstrate ongoing competency in assigned obstetric areas and maintain readiness for emergencies with timely escalation when required.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Nebraska
- Education: Bachelor’s, Associate, or Diploma from an accredited nursing program
- Certifications: Current BLS; current ACLS; current NRP certification for RNs assigned to Obstetrics
- Experience: Labor and Delivery experience required
- Ability to work a 12-hour night shift in a travel assignment and comply with PMHC policies and Code of Conduct
