Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct segments of occupational therapy treatment programs to restore and improve physical, social, and mental function.
- Develop individualized treatment plans and apply appropriate clinical techniques and tools.
- Provide therapy interventions and ensure progress toward established goals using standard protocols and documentation.
- Establish discharge plans and communicate these to patients, families, and the interprofessional team.
- Complete comprehensive, accurate clinical documentation within established deadlines.
- Supervise assigned therapy assistants and participate in interdisciplinary care planning and rounds as a co-leader of patient groups.
- Maintain patient safety and quality standards while coordinating care across care transitions.

Requirements
- Education: Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy or Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) required; licensure in all applicable states of practice.
- Licensure: Occupational Therapy license in California (and any applicable states) required.
- Certifications: Current CPR/BLS certification from an approved vendor.
- Experience: At least two years of recent experience in the field; acute care experience preferred.
- Additional: Valid driver’s license (minimum age 21) and ability to work in an inpatient, short-term acute care environment.
- Eligibility: Must meet all state and organizational requirements to practice as an OT in the assigned setting.
