Registered Nurse – Adolescent Behavioral Health Inpatient
Location: Trenton, New Jersey
Start date: 09/28/2026 | Duration: 8 weeks | Weekly pay: $2,062-$2,124 per week | Guaranteed hours: 36 | Shift: 12-hour day shifts, three days per week (7:00 AM–7:30 PM) | Setting: inpatient behavioral health unit within a hospital

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care for adolescent patients with behavioral health needs in an inpatient setting; monitor mental status, safety, and therapeutic responses
- Administer medications and monitor for adverse effects, with documentation in the electronic health record (Cerner)
- Implement evidence-based care planning, participate in rounds, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate treatment
- Float from the main behavioral health unit to MST units as needed and apply CPI de-escalation techniques during crises
- Document assessments, care plans, progress notes, and discharge planning; ensure compliance with unit policies and safety protocols
- Support family involvement and patient education as appropriate to the treatment plan

Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of inpatient behavioral health experience
- Ability and willingness to float between MH and MST units as needed
- CPI certification must be obtained by the document deadline
- BLS, ACLS, and NIH (as specified) required for the floating portion
- Cerner EMR experience is preferred
