Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate, and provide ICU nursing care for the patient population served on the unit, consistent with unit standards.
- Assess patient conditions, monitor vital signs, interpret data, and respond to changes in status.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and manage life-support equipment per policy and physician orders.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Document care activities accurately in the electronic health record (EPIC) and ensure compliance with clinical and privacy standards.
- Maintain patient safety and quality of care, uphold infection control practices, and respond effectively to emergencies.
Requirements
- Current California RN license; graduate from an accredited school of nursing
- ACLS and BLS certifications (American Heart Association) required
- PALS certification within six months of hire
- EPIC experience required
- Minimum two years ICU experience
- Vaccinations as required by facility policy; medical/religious exemptions may apply
