Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct segments of therapy programs to restore and improve physical function, working as a co-leader in an interdisciplinary team.
- Perform comprehensive PT evaluations and establish individualized treatment plans.
- Deliver therapy interventions using established protocols and techniques; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed.
- Develop discharge plans and ensure clear communication of goals with patients, families, and the care team.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation within established deadlines.
- Supervise assigned therapy assistants when applicable and provide patient and family education.
Requirements
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree; licensure to practice in the state of California required
- Active Physical Therapy license in state of practice
- Current CPR or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- Two years of physical therapy experience preferred
- Ability to work in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting
- Evidence-based practice mindset and strong communication skills
