Cardiovascular Technologist – Echo Tech position available for a travel assignment in a hospital setting in Cumming, Georgia. Start date: 08/31/2026. Assignment duration: 13 weeks with guaranteed hours. Weekly pay range: $2,002 to $2,100. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Responsibilities
- Perform echocardiography studies, including transthoracic echocardiography (TTE), with attention to image quality and accurate measurements.
- Prepare patients, operate ultrasound equipment, and ensure optimal image acquisition for interpretation by cardiology staff.
- Assist with specialized studies as required (e.g., transesophageal echocardiography) and participate in appropriate post-procedure care and documentation.
- Maintain equipment and perform routine quality control; adhere to safety and infection control policies; ensure proper patient and staff safety during procedures.
- Collaborate with cardiologists and other cardiac care team members to ensure timely, accurate reporting and appropriate patient care.
- Travel-friendly, able to adapt to varying schedules and hospital workflows while maintaining professional standards.
Requirements
- Education: Graduate from an accredited Ultrasound Technology program
- Certification: RDCS and/or CCI certification; registry eligible
- Certifications: AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers required
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of recent Echo/Cardiology specialty experience
- Licensure: Must be able to work in the listed travel setting; ability to function in a hospital environment
- Skills: Proficient in echocardiography techniques, patient positioning, and image optimization; strong documentation and communication abilities
