Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during the designated shift.
- Prescribe nursing care based on the nursing process, aligned with the medical plan of care and input from the patient and significant others.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the health care team to coordinate delivery of care for patients of any age (as assigned unit allows), including neonatal through geriatric populations.
- Incorporate teaching and discharge planning within the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate aspects of patient care to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice.
- This position is represented by CNA.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (ADN or higher)
- Ability to work in a hospital/acute care setting and provide care across age groups as assigned
- Proficient in applying the nursing process, care coordination, and patient teaching
- Availability to work 12-hour day shifts and commit to a travel assignment for an 8-week duration
