Responsibilities
- Assess and treat patients across neonatal, pediatric, and adult populations per physician orders and clinical protocols.
- Administer inhalation therapies, bronchodilators, mucolytics, oxygen therapy, and manage ventilated patients as directed; monitor responses and adjust therapy accordingly.
- Perform airway clearance techniques, suctioning, chest physiotherapy, humidification, and oxygen delivery optimization.
- Monitor patient status, document interventions in the medical record, and communicate with the interdisciplinary team; participate in rounds and care conferences as needed.
- Ensure proper equipment function, maintenance, calibration, and adherence to infection control and safety standards.
- Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy plans, goals, and safety considerations.

Requirements
- Hawaii license: Current Respiratory Therapy license in the State of Hawaii; NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
- Certifications: Current BLS/HCP, ACLS, PALS, and NRP; all licenses and certifications valid through the duration of the initial contract.
- Experience: Minimum three (3) years of full-time RT experience, including at least two (2) years in acute care with adults, children, and newborns prior to travel assignments.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy program.
- Compliance: All compliance documentation must be submitted no later than 10 days prior to start; current Nursys report required with submissions.
- Ability to work in an acute care setting on a rotating AM/PM schedule; travel assignment readiness.
