Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg travel assignment based in Bangor, Maine. This 13-week, hospital-setting opportunity starts on 06/08/2026. Weekly pay ranges from $2,129 to $2,198, with guaranteed hours of 36 per week, and shifts are 3x12 Nights. This assignment involves direct patient care in a Med Surg unit under the supervision of the Unit Director and clinical leadership.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care within the Med Surg scope, following the Maine Board of Nursing regulations and facility policies.
- Monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and perform routine nursing duties on the assigned shift, with telemetry-capable patients as needed.
- Collaborate with the Clinical Leader/Charge Nurse for shift operations, patient assignments, and supervision of the RN on duty.
- Document care and updates in the patient chart accurately and in a timely manner; communicate changes to the care team.
- Support admissions, transfers, and discharges; provide patient and family education as appropriate.
- Maintain infection control practices, safety protocols, and high-quality, evidence-based nursing care; respond promptly to changes in patient status.
Requirements
- Current Maine RN license
- BLS and ACLS required within 30 days of hire
- Telemetry experience preferred
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree preferred; MOAB or CPI certifications preferred, but not required
- Experience: Telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced hospital setting; strong teamwork, communication, and multitasking skills
