Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care under RN supervision, including activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming) and assistance with mobility and transfers.
- Monitor residents’ condition, take and document vital signs, monitor intake and output, and report changes promptly.
- Assist with meals and hydration, support safe feeding practices, and encourage dignified, patient-centered care.
- Maintain clean, safe, and comfortable resident rooms and common areas; follow infection control procedures and standard precautions.
- Document observations, changes in resident status, and care provided; communicate effectively with the care team and families as appropriate.
- Promote safety and comfort, including turning and repositioning to protect skin integrity and prevent falls.
Requirements
- Active CNA certification/license as applicable (state of NM or current governing jurisdiction).
- Completion of a state-approved CNA program.
- Ability to work night shifts (18:00–06:00) and perform duties in a long-term care setting.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; ability to follow directions and document care accurately.
- Prior experience in long-term care is preferred.
