This position is a travel assignment for an Emergency Department RN in a short-term acute care hospital. The role involves delivering coordinated nursing care to a group of patients, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and supporting patient families throughout admission and discharge processes.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned group of ED patients according to standards of care and the nursing process.
- Collect and analyze patient data to identify health issues and determine nursing diagnoses.
- Develop and implement evidence-based care plans, coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, and adjust care as patient status evolves.
- Administer medications and treatments, monitor responses, and respond to emergencies using appropriate protocols.
- Supervise and direct activities of nursing staff at various levels; delegate tasks and coordinate duties as needed.
- Support discharge planning, provide patient and family education, and ensure a safe, healing environment.

Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor
- ACLS (AHA-ACL S or ARC-ALS) certification required
- PALS (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) certification required
- Minimum two years of recent nursing experience in the ER or equivalent acute care setting
- BSN: preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced emergency department and to meet the demands of a 3x12 night schedule
