Travel Physical Therapist Job
Physical Therapist — Wallingford, Pennsylvania. This travel assignment is for a licensed physical therapist to provide rehabilitation services in a long-term care setting. The position begins on 06/01/2026 and runs for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 35 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Perform initial and ongoing PT evaluations for residents; establish functional goals and develop individualized treatment plans within scope of practice.
- Provide therapeutic interventions including mobility, strength, balance, gait training, neuromuscular reeducation, and therapeutic exercise; adapt plans as needed to meet progress.
- Monitor patient progress, document outcomes, and communicate changes to the interdisciplinary care team; adjust goals and treatment frequency accordingly.
- Collaborate with other professionals during rounds; educate residents and families on therapy plans, safety, and home exercise programs; assist with discharge planning.
- Ensure accurate, timely documentation in charting systems; maintain patient safety, infection control, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Active Pennsylvania Physical Therapy license
- Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree or equivalent
- Availability for a 13-week travel assignment with guaranteed 35 hours per week; day shift schedule
- Experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing facility setting preferred
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills; ability to work within a multidisciplinary care team
- Ability to meet credentialing and background check requirements as part of assignment onboarding
