Responsibilities
- Provide direct resident care within the CNA scope, including assistance with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility.
- Turn, position, and transfer residents safely; assist with walking and temporary mobility devices as needed.
- Assist residents with meals and hydration; monitor intake and report concerns to the licensed nurse.
- Observe and document resident condition, vitals when required, and report changes to the supervising nurse.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment; follow infection control protocols and proper use of PPE.
- Respect resident privacy and dignity; collaborate with the care team to meet individual care plans.
Requirements
- Active CNA certification in New Mexico
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to work locally in the Santa Fe area and perform physically demanding tasks for night shift duties
- Prior CNA experience in a long-term care setting preferred
- Strong communication skills and teamwork; ability to follow directions and document care accurately
- CPR/BLS certification preferred
