Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, and coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Utilize critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment in daily patient care.
- Document care accurately and maintain patient safety across the shift.
- Communicate effectively with the interdisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license to practice in the United States (or eligible for licensure in the relevant state).
- Demonstrated ability to provide nursing care per standards and the nursing process; strong clinical judgment.
- Experience supervising and coordinating activities of nursing staff.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work 12-hour daytime shifts in an inpatient hospital setting.
