Responsibilities
- Assume responsibility and accountability for a group of patients during the designated shift, providing professional nursing care.
- Apply the nursing process to plans of care, aligning interventions with the medical plan and input from patients and significant others.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to coordinate delivery of care for patients across age ranges based on unit assignment.
- Incorporate teaching and discharge planning needs into the overall plan of care.
- Delegate appropriate tasks to other nursing staff based on current clinical competence and scope of practice.
- This position is represented by the CNA and supports unit-based patient care delivery.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in California
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts (3x12), 36 hours per week
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment lasting 8 weeks
- Ability to care for patients across age groups (as appropriate to assigned unit)
