Responsibilities
- Deliver direct, evidence-based nursing care to a mixed medical-surgical patient population across age groups per the plan of care.
- Perform nursing assessments, administer medications and treatments, monitor for changes in patient status, and document in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with physicians and the health care team to implement, adjust, and evaluate care plans; provide patient and family education and discharge planning.
- Prioritize patient safety, manage potential complications, and ensure adherence to infection control and safety policies.
- Delegate tasks to licensed and unlicensed staff within scope of practice, providing supervision according to patient needs.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation and demonstrate competency in unit-specific procedures and protocols, including dysrhythmia assessment and IV-related care as required.

Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required at time of hire; competency in dysrhythmias during orientation
- Experience: Minimum two years of recent acute care/med-surg nursing experience
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Other: Demonstrated ability to work in an inpatient, fast-paced setting; EPIC experience preferred
