Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – ER travel assignment in Pahala, Hawaii. The start date is 05/11/2026 for 13 weeks in a small critical access setting where RNs cover ER, Acute, and LTC areas. Shifts are 12 hours, six shifts every two weeks (72 hours) with every third weekend off. Weekly pay ranges from $2,027 to $2,198. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. This assignment requires Hawaii licensure by start and may involve backup coverage in other areas when ER census is low. The environment is not latex-free.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department, with cross-coverage in Acute and LTC areas as needed
- Triage, assess, monitor, stabilize patients; administer medications and perform procedures for LTC and acute patients when assigned to meds
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team; document care in the electronic health record
- Monitor patient status, respond to changes, and support code team as appropriate; ensure safe discharge planning
- Maintain infection prevention and safety protocols; uphold non-latex-free facility policies
- If ER census is low, provide backup coverage in other areas to support patient flow and care continuity
Requirements
- Hawaii Registered Nurse license active and in good standing by start date; travelers without an active HI license must apply upon acceptance
- Minimum of two years of ED nursing experience
- Ability to work 12-hour shifts; comfortable with six shifts in a two-week cycle and the stated weekend rotation
- Experience supporting ER, Acute, and LTC care environments
- Willingness to travel to the assignment location and adhere to start date requirements
- Notation: the assignment is in a non-latex-free environment
