Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient respiratory care for pediatric patients and NICU III cases, aligning with physicians’ orders and care plans
- Manage and adjust ventilator support, administer inhaled therapies, perform airway clearance techniques, and monitor patient responses
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Epic) with timely, accurate, and complete notes
- Collaborate with nurses, physicians, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and participate in rounds as needed
- Maintain and calibrate respiratory equipment, ensure patient safety, and assist with weaning and transport as required
- Demonstrate schedule flexibility, including weekend coverage as needed, with no on-call requirement

Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential; CRT not accepted
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP; NBRC verification required; NRP verification required upon submission
- Experience: Minimum 1 year of relevant respiratory care experience; inpatient hospital experience required; NICU III and pediatric inpatient experience preferred
- Special requirements: Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is required; teaching hospital experience is preferred
- Travel and documentation: Prior travel experience preferred; all prior specialty work history must be documented with complete details (facility type, bed count, EMR, etc.) and any gaps explained
- Additional: Ability to work in a fast-paced, teaching-hospital environment; reliable transportation is recommended; local driving within mileage-based pay tiers applies
