Responsibilities
- Provide Physical Therapy services under supervision per the plan of care for residents in a long-term care setting.
- Administer therapeutic interventions (e.g., therapeutic exercises, gait and balance training, mobility activities, range of motion) and monitor patient response.
- Document sessions accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records; communicate progress and any changes to the care team.
- Promote patient safety during therapy, including alignment with infection control and equipment safety practices.
- Collaborate with other members of the rehabilitation and nursing team to optimize functional outcomes and discharge planning.
- Educate patients and families on exercises, posture, mobility strategies, and home programs to support continued improvement.
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant licensure in Pennsylvania or eligible to obtain licensure (state requirements apply).
- Ability to work in a long-term care setting and support residents with mobility, function, and activity participation.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; capable of documenting and coordinating care with the treatment team.
- Availability to work a 5x8 day schedule for a 13-week travel assignment.
- Willingness to meet credentialing, background screening, and facility safety requirements typical for travel assignments.
- Commitment to professional standards, patient-centered care, and ongoing learning in a dynamic care environment.
