Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse - ER | Emergency Department (adult & pediatric; separate psych area) in Saint Louis, Missouri, United States. Travel - temporary assignment starting 09/08/2026 for weeks with a 3x12 night shift. Weekly pay range of $1,851–$1,918. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week for the 3x12 schedule. Setting: rapid-paced ED care with cross-discipline support in an acute care hospital environment.

Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality emergency care to adult and pediatric patients, including triage, rapid assessment, and stabilization.
- Manage airway and ventilation as needed; interpret dysrhythmias and perform 12-lead ECG interpretation; recognize STEMI and stroke; administer medications and vasopressors per protocol.
- Establish and maintain IV access; provide procedural sedation, chest tube care, and central line care as appropriate; participate in wound, trauma, and rapid response situations.
- Monitor patients with continuous assessment, coordinate care with Respiratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Social Services, Interpretation Services, and Unit Secretary to ensure timely interventions.
- Address behavioral/psychiatric holds and manage violent or agitated patients while maintaining safety for staff and patients.
- Document thoroughly in the electronic charting system (EPIC); ensure compliance with unit standards and quality metrics; participate in handoffs and interdisciplinary rounds.
Requirements
- Licenses: Active RN license to practice; pending licenses accepted at submittal; state-specific rules vary—confirm at submittal.
- Certifications: ACLS, BCLS, NIH, PALS required; CPI and TNCC preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years ER experience; patient ratio experience 1:4; travel/previous travel experience required.
- Education: Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Other: Ability to work in a fast-paced ED setting; may be required to float within the service line per policy; pre-start requirements include labs within 48–72 hours of signing and required modules through WorkRamp completed prior to start.
