Responsibilities
- Assess and document the patient’s physical condition each shift and monitor for changes, notifying the physician when appropriate.
- Conduct initial patient interviews and develop individualized care plans; administer medications and treatments per policy and procedure.
- Maintain a safe environment for patients and staff; provide appropriate responses to safety concerns.
- Initiate and document patient education plans, teach interventions, and confirm patient understanding of taught concepts.
- Collaborate with the medical team to support progress toward patient goals and contribute to discharge planning for patients and families.
- Attend required meetings and participate in performance improvement activities, competency validation, and continuing education as assigned.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Montana or eligibility for Montana licensure.
- Ability to work nights in a hospital setting and participate in a travel assignment.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (RN) and the ability to meet credentialing requirements for travel assignments.
- Strong assessment, documentation, and communication skills; ability to work collaboratively with the care team.
