Responsibilities
- Provide Physical Therapist Assistant services under supervision, including evaluation-based treatment plans for patients with movement limitations
- Implement, progress, and document therapeutic interventions such as therapeutic exercises, endurance and mobility training, and functional activities
- Monitor patient responses to treatment and modify plans as directed by supervising PT
- Educate patients and families on home exercise programs, safe mobility, and activity modification
- Collaborate with the rehabilitation team and referring providers; communicate patient progress and any concerns
- Maintain accurate documentation in the patient record and ensure compliance with safety and infection control policies
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited physical therapist assistant program
- Active Montana PTA License
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
- Ability to perform all physical requirements to treat patients (lifting, pushing, pulling, etc.)
- Experience using computer applications in a healthcare setting
- Ability to work in a rural healthcare setting and may travel between facilities
Benefits and Support
- Housing options available at traveler’s cost if facility-provided housing is used; facility does not reimburse housing costs
• Monthly housing rates: $500 for most options or $650 for select apartments; rates are subject to change and agreed upon directly with the housing provider
• Availability discussed during the interview process; indicate housing preference with your submission
- Guaranteed 40 hours per week during the assignment
- Travel across multiple facilities within a rural setting as needed
