Responsibilities
- Maintain sterile technique and assist across orthopedic, gynecologic, spine, plastics, ENT, and general cases.
- Prepare trays and equipment, pass instruments, and maintain accurate counts throughout procedures.
- Assist surgeons and circulating staff, anticipate needs, and ensure instrument sets remain complete.
- Manage room setup, turnover, specimen labeling, and transport as needed.
- Adhere to aseptic protocols and patient safety standards; communicate clearly with team members during cases.
- Participate in on-call requirements as assigned: one night per week and one weekend per month.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of OR experience with orthopedic, gynecologic, spine, plastics, ENT, and general surgery
- Surgical tech certification preferred
- BLS certification required
- Ability to work four 10-hour shifts with start times of 6:30 am or 8:30 am
- Willingness to participate in travel assignment and work in a short term acute care environment
