Responsibilities
- Deliver prescribed respiratory care to adult inpatients, including adult ICU and adult ED cases, with general pediatric responsibilities; no NICU or PICU requirements
- Manage ventilator support, airway management, aerosolized medications, NIV/CPAP therapy, oxygen therapy, and airway clearance techniques
- Monitor patient status, collect and interpret arterial blood gases, adjust therapies per orders and protocol
- Document care thoroughly in the Epic EMR; ensure all patient encounters accurately reflect scope and specialties
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and the broader multidisciplinary team; participate in rounds and contribute to a teaching-hospital environment
- Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment; uphold infection control and safety standards; respond to respiratory emergencies as needed
- Adhere to scheduling constraints (no blocks); maintain professional documentation of work history and roles

Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist (RRT) license; CRT not accepted
- NBRC verification; BLS, ACLS, PALS; NRP certifications
- Minimum 1 year of adult inpatient ICU/ED experience and general pediatric experience; NICU/PICU not required
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years (nonnegotiable)
- Prior travel experience preferred; teaching-hospital experience required
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; weekends and 2 of the 4 holidays; reliable transportation is required due to limited public transit
