Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) position in Lawrenceville, Georgia. This travel assignment begins on June 1, 2026, for a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours. Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for patients undergoing surgical procedures, from preoperative assessment through postoperative recovery.
- Circulate or scrub as assigned, maintaining strict sterile technique and patient safety throughout the procedure.
- Monitor intraoperative patient status, anesthesia parameters, and dressings; communicate changes to the surgical team per protocol.
- Assist surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other OR staff; manage instrument counts and equipment readiness.
- Document all intraoperative events, patient responses, and outcomes accurately in the medical record.
- Uphold infection control standards and ensure OR readiness, including supply management and equipment maintenance.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent OR nursing experience.
- Required certifications: American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Ability to work in an operating room setting with adherence to sterile technique and perioperative safety standards.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and situational awareness in a high-stakes environment.
