Travel Speech Language Pathologist Job
Speech Language Pathologist travel assignment in Hondo, TX. Start date 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,265–$2,278 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0. Shift: Days, 8 hours, Monday–Friday; times are flexible as long as consistent and communicated with the director of rehabilitation. Setting: long-term care / nursing home. Responsibilities
- Screen, evaluate, and rehabilitate patients with communication, cognitive, or swallowing disorders; develop and implement an appropriate plan of care following regulatory and clinical standards
- Utilize standardized assessments and evidence-based practices; document progress and adjust treatments in the clinical record per requirements
- Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to speech disorders; coordinate with the health care team on patient progress and treatment plans
- Develop comprehensive discharge summaries and maintain regulatory and clinical documentation; record treatment minutes in the electronic system
- Participate in required meetings (care conferences, utilization review, rehabilitation meetings) and complete facility-required trainings and in-services
- Obtain necessary durable medical equipment or supplies as needed; supervise and support CFY or student SLPs; adhere to ASHA and state practice acts and codes of conduct
Requirements
- Texas State License to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist; CCC-SLP required
- Active ASHA certification and Texas licensure
- 1 year of SLP experience required; LTC or rehab experience preferred; new graduates OK with Level II experience
- Ability to work in a long-term care / nursing home setting; 8-hour days, Monday–Friday; travel assignment
- Willingness to supervise CFY or student SLPs
