Travel Registered Nurse OR Job
Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR) in a travel assignment for a hospital setting in Atlanta, GA. Start date: 05/18/2026. 13-week assignment with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Night shift on a 2x3 schedule (12-hour shifts). This travel RN role requires perioperative experience and offers a focused OR environment with on-call responsibilities, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for surgical patients, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative monitoring, and postoperative handoff
- Maintain sterile technique, assist with instrument and sponge counts, and manage OR equipment and supplies
- Act as circulating nurse or scrub nurse as assigned; coordinate care with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff
- Monitor patient status and vital signs throughout the procedure; recognize and respond to intraoperative changes and emergencies
- Ensure patient safety, comfort, positioning, wound care, and proper specimen handling; document events accurately in the medical record
Requirements
- Active RN license; operating room/perioperative nursing experience required
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Level 1 trauma experience required; burn experience preferred
- High rating on skills checklist; strong overall clinical skills
- Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays; on-call required
- No block scheduling
