Responsibilities
- Provide PTA services under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist, following the established plan of care
- Assist patients with therapeutic exercises, modalities, gait training, balance activities, and functional mobility
- Monitor patient response to interventions, document progress, and communicate changes to the PT
- Support transfers, positioning, ROM activities, and activities of daily living as appropriate
- Maintain accurate documentation, monitor equipment, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Collaborate with the health care team to support discharge planning and patient goals
Requirements
- Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Maine
- Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
- Ability to work effectively in a skilled nursing/ LTAC setting
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team
- Willingness to commit to a 13-week travel assignment and the listed shift schedule
- Demonstrated time management and documentation accuracy
