Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive nursing assessment and ongoing care for OB/GYN patients, including prenatal and gynecologic for the outpatient population
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, administer medications, manage IV therapy, and respond to clinical changes
- Develop and implement nursing care plans in collaboration with obstetricians, midwives, and the care team
- Provide patient and family education on prenatal care, postpartum recovery, contraception, and discharge instructions
- Coordinate care transitions, including referrals and follow-up, while ensuring patient safety and quality standards
- Document assessments, interventions, and outcomes in the medical record in accordance with policy and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts RN license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
- AWHONN fetal monitoring certificate
- Minimum 2 years of outpatient OB/GYN experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced OB/GYN outpatient/hospital setting
- Eligibility to work in the United States
