This travel assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC. The role supports the GI/endoscopy service line in a hospital-based setting, with responsibilities centered on procedural support and patient care for adults and geriatrics.

Responsibilities
- Demonstrate and apply competencies for endoscopic procedures, including disinfection and handling of endoscopes.
- Assist physicians with GI procedures, prepare the endoscopy room, and manage room turnover.
- Collect specimens when needed and supervise sterilization processes to maintain sterile technique.
- Perform quality control of sterilization and terminal cleaning, including biological monitoring as required.
- Apply universal precautions and hazardous materials management in processing equipment and supplies.
- Clean, test, process, and store endoscopes and related equipment per established procedures; perform scope washing and quality testing.
- Transport patients between departments and provide direct care to endoscopy patients in collaboration with registered nurses.
- Maintain accurate inventory, communicate supply needs, and participate in performance improvement data collection.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support the GI lab operations.
Requirements
- Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; current nursing license per the state of assignment.
- Experience: At least two years of recent field experience; GI lab/Endoscopy tech experience preferred; 3+ years of GI tech experience noted in comments.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s/Technical Degree or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to work in a hospital endoscopy setting and collaborate with the GI team and nursing staff.
