Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for neonates or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, coordinating care with other disciplines while using critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion, and independent judgment.
- Provide intensive, comprehensive care and monitoring for neonates with lifethreatening conditions.
- Align care with Level III or Level IV NICU designation as defined by the American Academy of Pediatrics.
- Document patient status, participate in care planning and rounds, and communicate updates to the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license in California.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ADN or BSN).
- NICU experience preferred; ability to work in a high-acuity neonatal setting.
- BLS certification required; NICU-specific certifications (e.g., NRP) preferred.
- Ability to work nights (3x12-hour shifts) and adapt to a fast-paced NICU environment.
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment in Lodi, CA.
