Travel Registered Nurse Med Surg Job
Registered Nurse – Med Surg, Travel assignment in Hilo, Hawaii. 13-week, full-time travel role starting 06/29/2026 with a weekly pay range of $1,849–$1,881 per week. 36 hours per week on 12-hour day shifts (0645–1915) with no guaranteed hours. This is a hospital setting where you’ll contribute to patient care across medical-surgical units and related services. The position requires Hawaii RN licensure by start and active certification as noted below.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care on Med Surg units, including assessment, monitoring, and interventions within scope of practice
- Administer medications, document clinical information, and coordinate care plans using the unit’s electronic health record (Meditech EMR)
- Float to other units/departments as needed (Medical Unit; Laulima Unit; Cardiovascular Unit on rare occasions)
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to implement care plans, respond to patient and family needs, and ensure safety
- Manage routines common to medical-surgical patients, including wound care, drains/tubes as applicable, and post-procedure monitoring
- Adhere to unit standards for patient-to-nurse ratios and clinical protocols; maintain professional dress and infection control practices
Requirements
- Hawaii RN license active and in good standing by start date
- BLS certification; ACLS certification required
- Preferred: PALS, Procedural Sedation, TNCC, ENPC
- Experience: 2–10 years of Med Surg RN experience
- Education: Current RN licensure in Hawaii
- Ability to float to Medical, Laulima, and Cardiovascular units as needed
- Must participate in orientation and be able to travel to the assignment location for the duration of 13 weeks
