Speech Language Pathologist, Acute Care, Claremont, NH — Start June 29, 2026 for a 14-week travel assignment. Weekly pay: $2,178 to $2,319 per week. Guaranteed hours: 35 per week. Shift: 5x8 days with on-site hours 08:00–16:30. Setting: long-term care / nursing home.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive SLP evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans for residents in a long-term care setting.
- Implement speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, and swallowing therapies aligned with patient goals.
- Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary teams to support care planning, progress monitoring, and discharge planning.
- Document assessments, progress notes, and goals in the electronic medical record; communicate updates to the care team.
- Educate residents and families on communication strategies, compensatory techniques, and home-care recommendations.
- Ensure infection control, safety, and compliance with facility policies; participate in quality improvement efforts as assigned.
- Participate in care conferences and rounds; coordinate with physicians and other disciplines to optimize nutrition, therapy outcomes, and overall function.
- Maintain HIPAA compliance and protect patient privacy in all interactions.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Active Speech-Language Pathology license in New Hampshire (or eligible for licensure transfer).
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred.
- 1+ year of experience in acute care or skilled nursing/long-term care settings preferred.
- Ability to work effectively in a long-term care environment; strong communication and documentation skills.
- BLS certification preferred; ability to pass background check and drug screening.
- Eligible for state licensure in New Hampshire; excellent interpersonal skills and patient- and family-centered approach.
