Responsibilities
- Perform radiologic imaging and interventional procedures in the cardiac cath lab under cardiology guidance
- Operate fluoroscopy and angiography equipment, ensuring image quality and patient safety
- Maintain sterile technique, instrument counts, and procedural readiness; assist with device manipulation as directed
- Monitor patient status during procedures; respond to hemodynamic changes and communicate critical findings promptly
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and technologists to support efficient, high-volume cath lab workflow
- Document procedures, equipment usage, and imaging results in patient records; ensure radiation safety and regulatory compliance
Requirements
- Education/Certifications: Current Hawaii state license as Radiologic Technologist; BLS/HCP and ACLS current
- Licensure/Certification: RCIS or RCES by Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) OR two (2) years of Cardiac Cath Lab and/or Special Procedures Tech experience; HI radiologic technologist license required
- Certifications: ARRT certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiology (CI) RT preferred
- Experience: Two (2) or more years of full-time Radiologic Technologist experience in a high-volume cardiac catheterization lab prior to travel assignments
- Compliance: Licenses/certifications must be valid through the duration of the initial contract; compliance documentation due 10 days before start
- Work setting: Ability to work effectively in a hospital cath lab environment with rotating shifts
