Overview
Registered Nurse - PCU in a hospital setting in Fort Myers, Florida. Start date January 8, 2027 for a 13-week travel assignment. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for PCU patients in a busy 40-bed unit with a 4:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, ensuring safety and high-quality outcomes.
- Monitor patient status, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications and IV therapies, and respond promptly to clinical changes.
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff to implement and adjust individualized care plans.
- Document care and progress in the Epic EMR, ensuring accuracy, legibility, and timely updates.
- Perform neuro checks and NIHSS assessments as indicated; participate in discharge planning and patient/family education.
- Float to other units within the network as needed; maintain clinical competency and adhere to unit-specific policies, including no block scheduling.

Requirements
- Current Florida RN license
- Degree accreditation must be on profile or applicant must have 5 years of PCU experience
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience required; prior travel experience preferred
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
- Epic EMR experience required
- Ability to work in a hospital setting with floating to support units as needed
- RTO requests must be noted at submission; no post-submission approvals
