This travel assignment requires MA-licensed clinicians (RN, OT, PT, SLP, or Pharmacist) who meet the lactation specialty requirements. Start date: 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Shift: 5x8 days (8-hour days, Monday–Friday). Weekly pay: $2,247–$2,380 per week. No guaranteed hours. Work will occur in an inpatient/outpatient lactation program within a hospital environment. Responsibilities
- Provide expert assessment, treatment, consultation, planning, and leadership for lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Form interdisciplinary care plans for advanced lactation needs and communicate goals with the care team
- Deliver lactation education, counseling, and hands-on assistance to patients and families, including prenatal and postpartum teaching
- Collaborate with obstetric, pediatric, and other teams; document care and progress in the medical record (Meditech Expanse)
- Monitor outcomes, adjust plans as needed, and provide leadership and guidance to the lactation program team
Requirements
- MA-licensed clinician (RN, OT, PT, SLP, or Pharmacist) with active Massachusetts licensure
- International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification with a minimum of 1 year of lactation experience
- At least 2,500 hours of breastfeeding consultation experience
- Prior experience in inpatient lactation programs; outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education/consultations preferred
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- Active American Heart Association BLS certification
- Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) required to staff for temporary needs; license must be uploaded with traveler profile
- Perm address must be provided; traveler must have own vehicle
- All certifications and credentials must be current and uploaded prior to submission
