Travel Registered Nurse Case Management Job
Lactation Consultant travel assignment in Pittsfield, MA. This role focuses on expert lactation assessment, treatment, consultation, planning and leadership oversight for lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Start date 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks with a weekly pay range of $2,167–$2,323. Shift is 8-hour days, Monday through Friday. This is a travel - temporary assignment in a hospital setting. A MA license is required per the assignment’s regulatory requirements, including the Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency (Nursing Pool) license.

Responsibilities
- Provide expert assessment, treatment, consultation, planning and leadership oversight for lactation management in both inpatient and outpatient settings
- Form interdisciplinary plans of care for patients with advanced lactation needs and communicate goals to the care team
- Deliver lactation consultations and education for new mothers, including breastfeeding initiation and ongoing support
- Document findings, care plans and progress in the patient record; coordinate follow-up and referrals as needed
- Collaborate with obstetrics, pediatrics, and outpatient services to ensure seamless, patient-centered lactation care
- Provide mentorship or leadership oversight for lactation care within the team and support continuous quality improvement
Requirements
- Active Massachusetts nursing license (MA) and Massachusetts Temporary Nursing Service Agency License (Nursing Pool) required for temporary staffing
- Board Certification as a Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) with a minimum of 1 year of experience and at least 2,500 hours as a lactation consultant
- Inpatient lactation program experience required; outpatient prenatal and postpartum lactation education, consultations and teaching experience required
- American Heart Association BLS certification required
- Meditech Expanse experience strongly preferred
- Must have own vehicle; travel residency must be outside a 50-mile radius from the assignment location
- Upload and maintain required documents: supervisory reference within the past two years, IBCLC certification, MA licensure and nursing pool license
- RTO requests must be included at submission; no RTO approvals after offer
