Registered Nurse – NICU, Bakersfield, California. Travel assignment in a hospital setting starting 06/22/2026 for 13 weeks. Three 12-hour day shifts per week (36 hours). Weekly pay range: $2,035 to $2,131. This is a travel - temporary assignment staffed through Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for NICU patients or an assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor vital signs, administer medications and therapies, and respond promptly to clinical changes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and coordinate care with other disciplines; utilize critical thinking, professional judgment, and supervisory discretion.
- Document assessment findings, care plans, and patient responses accurately and in a timely manner.
- Supervise and direct the activities of various levels of nursing staff as assigned; educate families and support the unit’s continuity of care.
- Maintain safety, infection control, and quality standards; escalate concerns to the appropriate team members as needed.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license to practice in California.
- NICU nursing experience required.
- BLS certification required; ACLS and/or NRP certification encouraged as applicable to NICU practice.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN or BSN).
- Ability to work 12-hour day shifts in a hospital NICU setting.
- Willingness to participate in a travel assignment and complete credentialing requirements as part of onboarding.
