Responsibilities
- Administer ionizing irradiation to patients in accordance with prescriptions and instructions from department physicians
- Position patients and immobilize as needed to ensure accurate treatment delivery
- Operate and monitor radiation therapy equipment; verify machine output and perform basic quality checks
- Maintain patient safety and enforce radiation safety protocols for staff and patients
- Document treatment details, reactions, and any deviations in patient records
- Collaborate with radiation oncologists and other members of the care team to deliver prescribed therapy and adjust as needed
Requirements
- Ability to work a day shift as part of a travel temporary assignment in the Glendale area
- Comfort and competence with operating radiation therapy equipment and following prescriptions
- Strong patient communication, teamwork, and adherence to safety protocols
- Flexibility to adapt to a travel assignment and varying site procedures
- Demonstrated reliability and professional conduct in a multi-disciplinary healthcare environment
