Emergency Department Registered Nurse (ER RN) – Travel position in Saint Johnsbury Center, Vermont, United States. Start date: 08/12/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,889-$2,040 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to Emergency Department patients, including rapid assessment, stabilization, and disposition decisions
- Triage, monitor, and reassess patients; interpret vitals and clinical data; escalate as needed
- Administer medications, IV therapies, analgesia, and emergency interventions per physician orders and protocols
- Collaborate with physicians, specialty consultants, and the health care team to coordinate timely patient management
- Document care in the electronic medical record (Meditech) with accuracy and thoroughness; ensure patient safety and privacy
- Maintain infection control, safety procedures, and adherence to hospital policies; respond to emergencies and code situations as trained

Requirements
- Active Vermont license or compact multi-state RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification required
- Minimum 3 years ER RN experience
- TNCC is preferred
- Orientation/credentialing: Must be able to cover mid-shifts as needed; credentialing documents must be uploaded no later than five business days before start
- Ability to work nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am) and function effectively in a rural Critical Access Hospital ED setting
- Proficiency with Meditech or the ability to learn quickly
