Responsibilities
- Perform Cardiac and Vascular radiographic examinations and interventional imaging in the cardiovascular lab using fluoroscopy and cinefluorography.
- Operate imaging equipment, set technical factors, and produce digital images as ordered; manage filming sequences and image quality.
- Position and immobilize patients, prepare and maintain equipment and supplies, and ensure patient safety during procedures; administer contrast as ordered.
- Assist physicians with specialized interventional procedures and monitor patient status throughout imaging exams.
- Mentor staff on technical skills and contribute to ongoing training and process improvements.
Requirements
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification — Required
- Radiologic Tech (RT) license in the state of practice — Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification — Required
- Fluoroscopy (FLUORO) certification — Required
- Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or CPI certification — Required
- Minimum two years of recent radiology/interventional experience
- Education: Associate degree in radiologic technology or equivalent; Bachelor’s degree in radiologic technology or equivalent preferred
