Responsibilities
- Provide perioperative nursing care for endoscopy procedures and support related endovascular cases as part of the surgical team.
- Monitor patient status intraoperatively, maintain sterile technique, and assist with instrumentation and equipment setup.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and OR staff to ensure patient safety, optimal outcomes, and efficient case flow.
- Document perioperative nursing care accurately; ensure clear handoffs to PACU or the receiving unit.
- Support patient education, comfort, and post-procedure plans as appropriate within the care team.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; ACLS certification preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience within the specialty; experience in cardiac, vascular, or thoracic settings is highly valued
- Endoscopy/OR perioperative nursing experience preferred; ability to work in a high-acuity hospital environment
- Must be able to work in the listed hospital setting and accommodate the shift pattern described
