This travel RN position supports a Med Surg Tele unit, with telemetry coverage and occasional ED Hold patient care. The assignment runs for a defined number of weeks with a 3x12 night schedule.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical telemetry patients, including assessment, monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and routine procedures (e.g., bladder scans, blood draws off central lines).
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EPIC charting system; ensure communication with the care team and coordinated care planning.
- Monitor and respond to telemetry data, glucose levels, and clinical changes; escalate promptly per protocol.
- Support ED Hold and float coverage as assigned, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure safe patient transitions and appropriate disposition.
- Adhere to patient safety, infection control, and unit-specific protocols; participate in quality and pain management initiatives as directed.
- Ensure compliance with required certifications and unit expectations (BLS on file; NIHSS testing completed prior to start; Epic experience within the last 2 years).

Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse license in New York
- Minimum 1 year of clinical experience; 1 year in the Med Surg Tele/telemetry specialty preferred
- Certifications: BLS required; NIHSS will be required prior to starting; Epic experience within the past 2 years is required; CMSRN preferred
- Ability to work a 3x12 night shift and travel assignment; floating to R5/R6/R7 units and ED Hold as needed
- Reliable transportation is required due to limited public transit in the area
- Education: RN education from an approved program (degree expectations align with NY RN licensure)
- Other: Orientation (1 day) and ongoing credentialing coordination as part of onboarding
