Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse, PCU travel assignment in Atlanta, GA. Start date 09/21/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: 2,318–2,366 USD per week, with guaranteed hours of 48 per week. Responsibilities
- Provide bedside RN care in an IMCU/PCU with a 1:4 nurse-to-patient ratio, handling patients with sepsis, heart failure, hypertensive emergencies, respiratory failure, COPD, CKD, TDM2, substance abuse, and encephalopathy.
- Initiate and monitor therapies, including heparin drips, IV medications, and telemetry monitoring, adjusting plans as ordered by the medical team.
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, document findings, implement care plans, and escalate changes promptly to physicians.
- Administer medications, manage IV lines and devices, ensure patient safety, and perform accurate handoffs between shifts.
- Collaborate with physicians, pharmacists, case managers, and other disciplines to coordinate care and discharge planning; provide patient and family education as appropriate.
- Maintain compliance with nursing standards and unit protocols, participate in quality improvement activities, and respond effectively to acute changes in patient status.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of IMCU/PCU or equivalent critical care nursing experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Current RN license to practice
- Ability to work night shifts (12-hour) on a 4-night-per-week schedule
- Experience with multisystem critical care patients and heparin drips is preferred
- Proficiency in telemetry, IV therapy, and rapid assessment in a high-acuity environment
