Responsibilities
- Circulate for open cardiac and thoracic cases in the CVOR, including CABG, AVR/MVR, Bentall, and TAVR; assist with lung procedures (open and robotic) as needed
- Support peripheral vascular and access procedures (e.g., Fem-Pop) and participate in fistula creation; assist with cardiac-specific procedures such as MAZE or ASD repair if applicable
- Manage intraoperative responsibilities as circulating nurse: cell saver use, administration of blood products, specimen handling and labeling, and adherence to universal protocol/time-out
- Uphold infection control standards, wound management, instrument and equipment counts, and radiation safety
- Maintain clear intraoperative communication with the surgical team; document events in the chart per unit standards
Requirements
- Active RN license in Idaho (or a valid compact license) in hand at time of submittal
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience strongly preferred
- Ability to function effectively in a busy CVOR environment and to participate in 5x8-hour day shifts
