Responsibilities
- Provide administrative support for the gynecologic oncology program, including scheduling, calendar management, charting, and patient flow coordination.
- Serve as a liaison between patients, families, and the care team; collect basic patient information and document in the electronic health record.
- Coordinate appointments, referrals, and follow-up communications; prepare educational materials as needed.
- Assist with clinical tasks within scope (e.g., patient intake, vitals under supervision) while medication administration is not performed at this site.
- Maintain HIPAA-compliant documentation, accurate coding/ billing questions, and adherence to safety and privacy policies.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and administrative staff to ensure smooth clinic operations and timely patient care.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Georgia
- Minimum 2 years of recent oncology or outpatient oncology experience
- BLS certification required
- Ability to perform administrative duties in an outpatient oncology setting; comfortable using EHR and scheduling tools
- Capacity to work in a hospital setting in Lawrenceville, GA on a travel assignment
